I bought a very beautiful, two queen and 15 workers, Tetraponera Rufonigra colony from the Ant Merchant. The ants looked healthy and very active on arrival. I keep them in an ytong nest and that seems to be perfect for them. I've got them for 6 months now, and the colony has expanded from 15 to 80+ workers.

I love how they look, and how the behave. They're fast, active and aggressive. I've made them a nice aboreal outworld in which they climb and forage above ground. Making the setup as close to their natural environment as can be.

The Ant Merchant helped me out with plenty of information on this species, so I could take care of them in the right way. In my opinion a great species for any antkeeper who seeks a bit of challenge within the hobby.

Yet again the Ant Merchant amazed we with this beautiful Myopopone Castanea colony in their store. A very rare species, and not much seen within the antkeeping hobby, and that's just the thing I love about The Ant Merchant. They always seem to have those species of ants that other suppliers do not sell.
